"Top-Whorl Drop Spindle"

This exotic wood spindle is carefully turned and polished. It has a 3” whorl near the top of its 12” shaft. A brass hook is placed at the top to secure the yarn. A groove is carved in the side of the whorl as a yarn guide. This spindle, which can be spun off the thigh is a true production tool. Sizes are approximate, as each spindle is a unique hand-turned piece. Shown in Zebra wood.
