Weaving Sword/Pickup Stick

Weaving Swords (battens) are used in Navajo weaving, as well as tapestry looms. The beveled edge lets you use it to ‘beat’ the weft into place. A slanted end gives you even more control over your weft. This versatile tool also performs as a pickup stick when you use the rounded end, helping you to 'pick up' the warp to make your shed. 1 1/2" width. Made of Rock Maple.

Pickup sticks are great for lap and frame looms. Pickup is 14” long and 1” wide with one angled end, the other flat. Made of Rock Maple.
